We camped in the CO State Forest over the Labor Day weekend. Some of us hiked to a nearby alpine lake to try our hand at trout fishing. The hike was .8 mile and the reward was priceless. This is my favorite photo - Clayton casting his fly and bubble.
Unfortunately, I was the only one to catch a trout (only my second lifetime trout). I really want the kids to experience the thrill of seeing the flash of pink in crystal clear water and the swirl of a rising trout taking the fly.
This was a day that I hope I never forget. A precious gift from my Creator.
